Parents should take their children to a pediatric dentist when the first permanent tooth appears , or no later than his / her first birthday.

The initial orthodontic evaluation should occur at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age of 7 years old .

Will I feel pain after putting my braces?

You should not find it painful at all when you orthodontist inserts and places braces into your mouth.

Some people how over ,feel some discom fort several hours after the braces have been placed on the teeth ,all though it should not be every painful at all.

Many people do indicate that their teeth are a little sore during the first few weeks and they will feel a little pressure from the braces ,at least until they adjust to this .

You should also try to brush your teeth very gently during the first week and do not apply too much pressure.

You may also try to avoid eating too many solid foods during the first few days , if you can , try to eat soups, salads and jello.

What is the duration of orthodontic treatment?

The duration of orthodontic treatment depends on different factors:severity of case, age of the patient, cooperation of the patients.

Your orthodontists will specify the duration of treatment upon diagnosis and treatment plan.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Teeth whitening done correctly is safe, and it does not work by stripping enamel from your teeth. Whitening (or bleaching) agents actually react with the stain deep inside your teeth to neutralize it,there's no harmful stripping of enamel...

The bottom line is that for the vast majority of us, teeth whitening is a perfectly safe and harmless beauty treatment that almost anyone can afford. I believe everyone should at least consult with a dentist to be sure they have healthy teeth before they start.
